MONTAIGNE NEWS!

Congested Champs Elysées, inaccessible Carrousel du Louvre and Place Vendôme overbooked with shows and cocktails, to me avenue Montaigne remains the must-go and most pleasant spot to walk around during fashion week. It has kept that "allure non-chalante"yet very sophisticated and understateddespite Chanel, Guerlain and Céline are under heavy refurbishment and scuffholdings block the footpath. New important "mansions"stores to come in the near future: I cannot imagine how it could be better than it is now, but I am sure we will be amazed by the new giants "relooking".
Let's start from the Rond-Point de Champs Elysées, where at ARTCURIAL is hosting the high end part of the TRANOI, known in the trade market thanks to the stylish organization put together by iconic trend setters Martine and Wendy Hadida from L'Eclaireur.
Going down you cannot miss the beautiful window with copper watches mechanisms at Dolce's, or the new Chanel temporary store, which actually looks like a Mayfair private house with its 4 white marbled steps on opulent glass entrance. You feel courtesy has exponentially increased when doors are open to you downstairs, and you are treated like a Queen going up the stairs to the first floor, where the Paris-Edimbourgh collection is shown.
A small break at l'Avenue...of course cannot be in Paris without my nems and tar-tar on the terrace! Then, after contemplating both Nina Ricci and Dior buildings at the corner with François premier, a brand new tiny garden at the entrance of the Canadian Embassy has caught my attention- so chic and breathy with its manicured colored bushes. Before making your entrance at the Plaza for a little apéritif, do not forget to stop at Manoush for the uber-chic oriental colorful outfits you cannot resist, the whole shop is an futuristic experience with its mix of neon lights, white panel and mirrors.
Bonne soirée!
